How do I adjust the cut length calibration?

For most customers it is important that the cut length value entered onto the touch-screen panel matches the actual cut length (within the specified length tolerance).

If there is a discrepancy between the entered value and the actual cut length then this may be due to the calibration of the encoder input into the cutter.

You can adjust the calibration via the touch-screen panel by following the steps below:

  1. Press the lower central button marked “CUTTER”. The screen shown to the right should be displayed (the actual version on your machine may differ slightly).
  1. See the “Length Scaler” field circled in red. The set value is likely to be 100%.
  1. Press the blue area. A password may be requested. If it is, enter admin as the username and 2706 as the password.
  1. If the measured cut length is too long relative to the set length then reduce the value in the field, e.g.  96%.
  1. If the measured cut length is too short, then increase the value, e.g. 104%.
  1. You may have to do a few runs in-line making adjustments until the correct value is reached.
