Cuffed, corrugated & concertina pipe
By using the latest in digital camera or laser technology we can offer a fast & highly accurate Servo-Torq cutting system for cuffed, corrugated & concertina plastic tubing.
The laser system provides a good general-purpose solution for cuff cutting. It is suitable for most applications such as multilayer PA tube, PP plumbing pipe & PE hose.
The digital camera is available as an alternative. It takes a continuous image of the tube as it passes by at normal extrusion line speed. A high intensity LED array provides a powerful back-light to create a sharp silhouette of the cuff, vital for accuracy. The exact cut point is determined off-line using the Windows software provided.
In all cases precise cutting on the cuff is guaranteed, even at higher speeds. A number of different cut lengths can be handled per corrugation chain, along with several scrap cut lengths.
Where the tube diameter changes we can offer a clamp system as an optional extra. A tube compression machine is also offered to "scrunch" concertina pipe in-line immediately after it has been cut-to-length
